Qiology
2020 has brought with it some interesting challenges for us all.
During 2020, Qiology took the initiative to provide a number of high quality, affordable, and clinically applicable online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events to meet the needs of the acupuncture/oriental medicine profession across the globe.
In May/June/July 2020 Qiology invited Monika Kobylecka, international Kiiko Matsumoto Style (KMS) Acupuncture instructor, to conduct a unique online training, which was recorded and is now available as an online learning program:
Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture Online Theoretical Essentials:
A 6-part recorded webinar series
This is a unique, high-quality online program in KMS acupuncture, and a first for Qiology, as we have been hosting live KMS Acupuncture events in Australia since 2012 .
This online webinar series is not only perfect for those who are building on their foundations in KMS, but it is also considered an excellent method of revising and reinforcing knowledge for those who are intermediate to advanced in KMS acupuncture. However, we always highly recommend a Foundations in KMS Acupuncture course to be attended when you next have the opportunity, so that you may develop your hands on skills in KMS Acupuncture.
This 6-part online course will provide you with a solid theoretical grounding in this style of acupuncture from the comfort of your home or clinic, based on the material from Kiiko Matsumoto’s Clinical Strategies (Books) Volume 1 + 2, as well as Monika Kobylecka’s many years of experience practicing and teaching the style. Each recorded webinar includes downloadable webinar notes, and also contained Q+A segments where live attendees at the time of recording had their important questions answered by the instructor. At the end of each recorded webinar, you will be provided with a CPD quiz, and upon quiz completion, you will be provided with a formal CPD certificate.
Those wishing to attend the online recorded webinars may do some, or all of the 6 recorded webinars in the series, however, it is highly recommended to do the complete 6-part series for the most optimal learning outcomes.
“Monika is a wonderful teacher, highly skilled and has a great understanding of the Kiiko Matsumoto style of acupuncture. She has studied with me for years, and has spent a great deal of time gaining a thorough understanding of my own work.
I completely trust her to teach my material to students and am happy to have her on my team. “
– Master Acupuncturist Kiiko Matsumoto

Monika Kobylecka, L.Ac.
Monika Kobylecka is a licensed acupuncturist practicing Kiiko Matsumoto Style (KMS) acupuncture at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA).
Monika completed her Master of Science degree at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where she was first introduced to Japanese acupuncture. What shaped her current practice was meeting renowned Japanese practitioner Kiiko Matsumoto in 2004 and learning this master’s unique style. It was during one of the first classes Monika attended with Ms. Matusmoto that she discovered how acupuncture can be practical, effective and interactive – something that a patient doesn’t have to believe is working; they can feel it working right during the treatment.
For over a decade, Monika worked closely with Ms. Matsumoto – observing her in her clinic in Boston, and assisting her in her seminars. She continues to learn from Ms. Matsumoto and has been selected as an approved instructor for the introductory, hands-on classes in KMS acupuncture in the United States and around the world.
Back home in Los Angeles, Monika’s private practice is based at CHLA where she holds privileges. She sees pediatric patients in an integrative setting of the Pediatric Pain Clinic; is involved in ongoing research on the effects of acupuncture; and runs the CHLA Employee Acupuncture Clinic which provides acupuncture to physicians, nurses and hospital staff.
Her passion for acupuncture, facilitated by Kiiko Matsumoto Style, translates into an ongoing effort to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western medicine in a practical and patient-focused manner.
As is required by National Law, we disclose that Monika Kobylecka is not a registered health professional within Australia.
“My initial exposure to Kiiko was incredible and overwhelming at the same time. I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to study with Monika for this reason. Monika is meticulously organized and prepared for her presentations. She has a down-to-earth, step-by-step approach that describes how to understand the theory and practice of this incredible style of acupuncture. I can honestly say that I am able to implement what I learn with Monika on my first day back in the office and the results are immediate. The material that she presents is relevant and useful to anyone practicing acupuncture. Truly a life-changing experience.”
Rob Mills, L.Ac. Bend,
“Monika organizes Kiiko’s material in a coherent and usable format. Monika’s classes have truly transformed my practice.”
